Quality is monitored and maintained throughout the process, from Day one of every project.
The QA Department is a separate central resource and organization within OpenLink Systems, and is equally responsible for project success as development. QA also has at its disposal OpenLink Systems well-equipped QA-Lab for a broad range of platforms and clean testing.
The QA Lead is primarily responsible for Quality Management and Process Monitoring.
She develops Test Plans and work assignments as required for the scale of project, during early project stage. She also decides on the level of QA involvement required and areas of emphasis, testing and development co-ordination strategies and Acceptance Criteria for each Stage as well as Project Acceptance.
Test Suites and Test Cases are developed as set forth in the Test Plan. Black-box and regression testing are commonly followed, though Test Automation or White-box testing may suit some projects.
As part of our quality process, QA also monitors projects for process compliance, and gathers metrics relevant to the project..
The QA/testing team uses TeamTouch for bug management and reporting. TeamTouch displays data about bug status and movement, based on historical statistics and current movement. TeamTouch also allows process monitoring and secured open sharing of project plans.
